Thermal inactivation of serums is a topic of interest to many culturators. Expensive serums contain precious substances such as growth factors, vitamins and amino acids, and it is completely unnecessary to expose them to temperatures above 50℃ for 30 minutes. However, heat inactivation of serum is still performed routinely in most laboratories, and most experimenters do not consider the negative effects of heat treatment on growth factors, amino acids and other components in serum.
